Host Thoughts on Catching Feelings
It’s perfectly normal to develop feelings for someone you’re dating…whether that’s early on or a couple weeks/months in. How you handle your feelings makes all the difference. You’ll naturally want to check your phone more frequently and see them more often, but it’s important to let them know about the next steps you want to take.
Feelings are scary. Being a robot is lame. Don’t be afraid to feel something and go out on a limb. The worst anyone can say is no, and honestly, you’ll probably be better off if they reject you like that anyways.
Many times, what we consider feelings is just an infatuation, which can be fun to experience, but don’t let it lock you into something you don’t want. I catch feelings way too quickly, all the time, and it can be hard to communicate that to someone without scaring them away if it’s not 100% mutual, so be careful!
